Meet the Team

Miss Jacqui's Ballerinas was founded by Miss Jacqui in 2013. Miss Jacqui grew up in the UK where she completed her education at The Royal Academy of Dance headquarters in London achieving a Ba hons in Ballet Education and fell in love with teaching!

After travelling to Australia, Miss Jacqui worked in preschools where she discovered the joy of working with this amazing age group. It was here that she decided to combine her love of ballet with this joyous young age of preschoolers. She started classes in her local area and loves being a part of the local community by being involved events such as Christmas nativities and local fundraisers.

Miss Jacqui's Ballerinas is very proud to be a local, community based dance school where little dancers are nurtured and can flourish!

Miss Jacqui was born in the UK and began dancing at the age of 5 years old and has performance experience in ballet, tap and modern. She was lucky enough to have a wonderful dance teacher from the age of 4 to 18 who has been on every step of her dancing journey. Miss Jacqui is an RAD registered teacher and has achieved her RAD Advanced One in Ballet as well as Tap and Modern examinations. She continues her training and nourishes her joy of movement by regularly attending classes at Sydney Dance Company and as well as regular teacher seminars and courses.

She has taught ballet and other styles of dance in both London and Sydney and enjoys sharing her passion for dance through teaching by furthering children’s creative, imaginative and emotional development through art and craft, movement and musical activities.

Miss Jacqui has two gorgeous pre-schoolers at home herself who love dancing and definitely keep her on her toes!

Miss Makaila

Ballet Teacher

Miss Makaila found her passion for dance at a very young age on the Central Coast where she trained with a focus in RAD Ballet, Jazz and Tap. After finishing school Makaila furthered her training at Ettingshausen’s Pro and received her Diploma in dance, allowing her to be trained and mentored by some of the best in the industry.

After completing this course Miss Makaila discovered her love for teaching and wanted to help little ballerinas find their love for ballet!

“I love teaching at Miss Jacqui Ballerinas as it provides a lovely first step into ballet by creating a fun and safe environment for our ballerinas to flourish and bloom into the little dancers they dream to be. This all happens as we build their confidence and let their imaginations run free!”

Miss Emily is originally from England, trained at The School Of Ballet Theatre UK and graduated into their associate touring company where she danced many soloist roles, her favourite being Dorothy from the Wizard Of Oz. During the Covid-19 lockdown her professional direction changed and she created an online dance program for a local school. This is when she fell in love with teaching ballet to children of all ages. Emily studied dance teaching in Berlin and she received a level 7 qualification with the Royal Academy Of Dance after graduating.

Miss Emily loves teaching dance so much that in 2023 she moved across the world to pursue her next teaching adventure in Sydney! Emily is inspired and driven to teach ballet in an imaginative, creative and nurturing way to the next generation of budding ballerinas.
