Meet the Team
Miss Jacqui's Ballerinas was founded by Miss Jacqui in 2013. Miss Jacqui grew up in the UK where she completed her education at The Royal Academy of Dance headquarters in London achieving a Ba hons in Ballet Education and fell in love with teaching!
After travelling to Australia, Miss Jacqui worked in preschools where she discovered the joy of working with this amazing age group. It was here that she decided to combine her love of ballet with this joyous young age of preschoolers. She started classes in her local area and loves being a part of the local community by being involved events such as Christmas nativities and local fundraisers.
Miss Jacqui's Ballerinas is very proud to be a local, community based dance school where little dancers are nurtured and can flourish!
Studio Director and Teacher
Miss Jacqui was born in the UK and began dancing at the age of 5 years old and has performance experience in ballet, tap and modern. She was lucky enough to have a wonderful dance teacher from the age of 4 to 18 who has been on every step of her dancing journey. Miss Jacqui is an RAD registered teacher and has achieved her RAD Advanced One in Ballet as well as Tap and Modern examinations. She continues her training and nourishes her joy of movement by regularly attending classes at Sydney Dance Company and as well as regular teacher seminars and courses.
She has taught ballet and other styles of dance in both London and Sydney and enjoys sharing her passion for dance through teaching by furthering children’s creative, imaginative and emotional development through art and craft, movement and musical activities.
Miss Jacqui has two gorgeous pre-schoolers at home herself who love dancing and definitely keep her on her toes!
Makaila found her passion for dance at a very young age at GCSDANCE on the Central Coast where she trained with a focus in RAD Ballet, Jazz and Tap.
After finishing school Makaila furthered her training at Ettingshausen’s Pro and received her Certificate IV and Diploma in dance, this course allowed her to be trained and mentored by some of the best in the industry.
Ballet and Jazz Teacher
Miss Claudia has been dancing for about twelve years and both teaching and assistant teaching dance for seven years. During her time training, Claudia was able to become an assistant teacher while at school and find her love for sharing her passion. Her favourite styles to dance and teach are jazz, contemporary and of course ballet!
Claudia has been a competitive dancer for most of her dance life and loves to perform on stage. During her final year of school, she was the Dance Captain of her studio and loved being a role model for the other students and dancers.
After graduation, she moved to Melbourne to complete her Certificate Four in Dance and her Certificate Four in Dance Teaching and Management at Transit Dance. She has taken so much from what she learnt from both courses into her teaching practice and this year will be completing her Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management.
She is so excited to be teaching with Miss Jacqui’s Ballerinas and continue to learn and grow with this amazing group of people and young dancers.
